El desafio/ The walk

Y por fin hoy voy a acabar con la última película de hace dos semanas. Un poquito con retraso pero al final el fin de semana me lo tomé sabático del todo. La película que traigo hoy es El Desafio.

Es la historia de un joven cuyo sueño era convertirse en funambulista y lograr la mayor hazaña hasta el momento: tender un hilo entre los dos edificios más grandes por aquel entonces (años 70 más o menos), las Torres Gemelas.

He de reconocer que la historia me parece interesante, y un tema en particular del que no he visto demasiadas películas. Pero, creo que a medida que aumenta la trama, el persona principal, deja de ser protagonista para serlo cada vez más los propios edificios. Dejando un poco al margen eta gran hazaña y más con el homenaje a los dos colosos del cielo neoyorkino.

No obstante, es bastante entretenida, sabe mantener el suspense y dejarte con el corazón pendiente del mismo hilo que el protagonista. Así que la valora con un 6,5.

Finally, I’m finishing with the last movie from two weeks ago. I know I’m a little bit late but I’d rather chill and relax on weekend. Anyway, I’m bringing you a new movie today: The Walk.

This is about a young guy which only dream was to become into a tightrope walker and achieve the most difficult challenge ever: stretching a tightrope between the highest buildings at that moment (70’s). These buildings were the World Trade Center.

I must confess that it’s a very interesting story and the topic is not so hackneyed (this is the first movie I’d ever seen about this topic actually). However, as long as the movie moves forward, the walker is less important and are the buildings themselves the ones who are more and more relevant instead. And the result is that a movie which seemed different at the beginning, it is just another film acclaiming the World Trade Center again.

In conclusion, it’s entertaining, there is suspense up to the end and the movie lets you with the heart hanging in the balance as the walker. So, my score is a 6,5 this time.
