Descifrando Enigma/ The imitation game

Hoy vengo a hablaros  de otra de las películas que vi la pasada semana. ( y aún me quedan unas cuantas más…) ¡ha sido un fin de semana muy cinéfilo!

Esta es ya un poco antigua; se trata de Descifrando a Enigma. Una película ambientada entre los años de la Segunda Guerra Mundial (me encanta ver películas sobre esta época en particular), y de cómo un grupo de intelectuales al mando del profesor Turing logra crear una máquina que consigue descifrar los miles de mensajes que el ejército alemán codificaba. Este logro supuso, muy en gran medida, la derrota de Hitler y los suyos. Pero, a pesar de este gran invento, y precursor de los ordenadores actuales, Turing fue acusado y condenado por su condición de homosexual.

Película muy interesante para una persona muy poco científica como yo, y un gran Benedict Cumberbatch. Mi nota es de 7,75.

Today I’ve come to talk about another movie I’ve recently watched ( and there are still some more coming this week), such a great weekend dedicating to update my bucket list of films.

This movie I’ve come up with is a bit old. Exactly from the last year. The imitation Game. A film based on true story during the Second World War. (Have you realized that I like watching films from that period yet?). It is the story of professor Turing and his invention and creation: a machine which was able to decode the German army’s messages. This achievement allowed for the Allied victory and the Hitler’s defeat. However, despite of this very important invention which is the very precursor of our computers, Turing was undervalued, charged and condemned by his condition of homosexual.

I like this film very much, a very interesting topic and also, very controversial. Benedict Cumberbatch plays a sublime role. My final score is a 7,75
