Lejos del mundanal ruido/ Far from the madding crowd

Cada jueves por la noche en mi habitación se lleva a cabo una sesión de cine (abandono las series y la lectura por completo para ver una película de la lista, o algo que me ha llamado especialmente la atención durante la semana). La semana pasada no fue una excepción. La película que vi fue Lejos del mundanal ruido, basada en el clásico del mismo nombre de Thomas Hardy.

Es una obra dramática en la que la búsqueda del amor cobra especial importante. No falta la valiente mujer que se arriesga por lo que considera que es amor cuando en realidad no lo es. Un hombre caído en desgracia que ama a sabiendas que será imposible. Otro hombre que nunca se enamoraba, que cae rendido ante la protagonista. Y un soldado, que solo se aprovecha y se beneficia. Lo dicho, un auténtico drama, muy sensible y tierno pero bastante surrealista.  Quizás me hubiese gustado ir más allá en la profundización de los personajes puesto que a veces parece que las decisiones no se llegan a entender del todo bien o son demasiado repentinas.

No obstante, las interpretaciones son buenas, el ritmo es relajado sin caer en el aburrimiento, y el paisaje de la Inglaterra rural es bellísima.

Es bastante entretenida así que un 6,5.

Every Thursday night is cinema night at my dorm ( I don’t watch any TV show neither read any book). I often watch a movie from my bucket list unless I would like to watch a special one. Last week I watched Far from the madding crowd, based on Thomas Hardy’s novel whose name is the same one.

It is a drama in which main topic is love: finding it, losing it, and getting it back. You can recognize some typical characters in this movie: the brave woman who risks everything for a love which is not as big as she thought firstly. A man fallen into disgrace who loves even if he knows it will never be possible. Another man who has never fallen in love with anyone, until he meets that woman. And a soldier who only takes in advantage of the woman. So, a really drama and quite surrealistic though. I would like to have understood the characters better because there wasn’t enough psychologic deepening.

However, all of them, actors and actresses play their roles great, the story is slow but not boring and the landscapes of  England countryside are so beautiful.

The movie is quite entertaining so its score is gonna be 6,5.
