Los odiosos ocho The hateful eight

Un día más traigo una nueva película, se trata de la última película de Tarantino, “Los odiosos ocho”. Tenía muchas ganas de verla puesto que cada persona que la veía me hacía una crítica diferente, desde que era un completo aburrimiento a que estaba francamente bien pasando por un es Tarantino regodeándose en sí mismo.

La historia comienza con un cazarrecompensas que lleva al pueblo de Red Rock a una mujer en busca y captura. Acaba de terminar la guerra secesión y es el sur de los Estados Unidos. Por el camino se encuentran con un antiguo confederado ahora también confederado y con sureño que dice ser el nuevo sheriff de Red Rock. Debido a las pésimas condiciones climáticas deben parar el viaje en la mercería Minnie, un lugar de parada. Allí se encuentran con cuatro desconocidos y ninguno de ellos es la regenta del local. ¿Quiénes son en realidad cada uno de ellos y cuándo serán capaces de reanudar el viaje?

Largas sesiones de charla, la mayor parte de la trama transcurre dentro de la propia mercería y pese a todo consigue mantenerte pegado al  monitor durante toda la película. A caballo entre Django y Reservoir Dogs, me parece una buena película, quizás no mi favorita pero buena.  Los diálogos de Tarantino son geniales, la sangre a raudales, los giros repentinos… sin duda es Taratinto en estado puro. Para sus fans, una joya, para sus detractores, más de lo mismo.

Today I come with a new review. This is time I’m reviewing the last of Tarantino’s movie “The hateful eight”. I really wanted to watch it because I had heard many different opinions from people: from it is a waste of time and very boring to it is exciting and amazing from the beginning to the very end of it. Some people even told me that this movie is just Tarantino loving himself.

It is set in the South of United States after the Civil War. A bounty hunter is carrying a woman who is wanted by the local security forces. They are on their way to a town named Red Roch. In the meantime they come across an old confederate man and a southern guy who is said to be the new sheriff. Due to the terrible climatic conditions they should stop by in the Minnie’s haberdashery. They meet four strangers there and none is the manager. Who they really are and when they will be allowed to continue their journey?

Long dialogues, and the most part of the movie is passed in the very same place: the  haberdashery, but the movie keeps you on the edge of your seat. Sometimes it reminded me of Django and other times of Reservoir Dogs. I think it is a great movie, not my favorite though. The dialogues are good and hilarious, bunches of blood and unexpected turns… Certainly it is a Tarantino movie. For all his fans, a real gem whereas just another movie for those who don’t appreciate him.

In my case it is a 7,5. I liked it very much.
